Reformer Pilates

Join us on our new state of the art pilates reformer and cadillac machines which have revolutionised the Pilates experience with proven lasting physical and physiological benefits. You will receive a blend of cardio, strength and sport, mind and body, and renewal elements leaving you feeling great.

Falls Prevention Pilates

Pilates-based exercises specially designed to improve static and dynamic balance, increase balance confidence and functional mobility thereby reducing the risk of falling among aging adults.

Mums and Bubs Pilates 

Specially designed classes to rehabilitate Post-Nataly. The innovative approach takes traditional Pilates principles and tailors them for new mummies and daddies. Gain that core strength to prevent injury. Passionate at supporting well-being in a fun non-judgmental environment.

Pilates Barre

Barre Pilates is mix of pilates moves and ballet exercises, it is a flowing workout with no need of any dance experience. Part of the Barre class is using the ballet barre to assist the strength and flexibility work. This method is particularly effective for strengthening the lower body, gluteals and legs.

Pram-ercise

A pram-based full body workout using the principles of Pilates on the move at the park. Fun, sociable, energising whereby we raise your heart rate and tone your body.

Mindfulness Pilates for 6-18 yrs

Teach young people about the many benefits to be gained from regularly practicing pilates exercises and mindfulness. The classes are designed to be fun, exciting and strengthen muscles, improve balance , posture and concentration. Call for initial consult.

In addition, pilates has been demonstrated to improve the symptoms and delay the disease state of many chronic diseases including; Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Multiple sclerosis, ankylosing spondylitis, Parkinsons and many more.

REFORMER PILATES


Our new reformers and cadillacs offer all the benefits of Pilates including overall strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. These things, in turn, lead to daily life improvements like better posture, graceful and efficient movement, and for many, relief from pain associated with physical imbalances such as back pain.

The Pilates powerhouse muscles—the muscles of the core—are paramount for building strength. Flat abs, strong backs, toned buttocks, and firm thighs are all results of this emphasis. Other equipment and Pilates mat exercises do that too, but the reformer creates a unique and varied exercise environment.

The reformer is large enough to accommodate full-range motion, which is wonderful for increasing flexibility while building strength.Paradoxically, when the springs are in a lighter setting, some exercises are more challenging for the core because it has to work harder to control and stabilize the movement. The stronger the core, the better the balance, posture, and overall well-being.

How We Got Here

We strongly believe in living a life full of happiness which begins with our ethos of Living Longer, Stronger and Happier. This simple vision informs and guides our core teachings and practices at Movement & Co, as we focus on helping clients better connect their mind and body, ultimately leading to a better quality of life.  

We offer a variety of services and classes with a tailored approach to fit your needs. 

Professional Background

Claire has over 16 years’ experience within the physiology field and also currently lecturing at the University of Worcester. Previous positions include work with the US Ski Team, Australian Olympic Gymnastics and pharma industry. As an Exercise Physiologist and practicing Sports Psychologist, Claire has worked closely with health care professionals and helped treat a range of patients with chronic diseases such as CHD, Diabetes, Arthritis and Osteoporosis. In addition Claire is a trained life coach and has extensive experience in the field of sport and exercise psychology helping people overcome obesity, fear of failure and other mental skill concerns. 


About me 

Claire is married with two young children. She is a passionate and firm believer that exercise has to be fun to be maintainable. She ensures that classes are free from judgement, relaxed and above all full of laughter.
